Yuva Sangh Sudurpaschim Constructs 23 Homes in Five Days for Earthquake Victims
Dhangadhi: The Yuva Sangh Sudurpaschim has successfully erected 23 homes for earthquake victims within a span of five days. The Far West team of the National Youth Association of Nepal initiated this commendable effort, delivering 23 newly constructed houses for families affected by the earthquake.
The completed houses were handed over in Kalpath, located in Nalgad Municipality Ward No. 1 of Jajarkot. Arun Kanwar, the President of the National Youth Union of Nepal, Sudurpaschim, led a dedicated team of 21 individuals who generously contributed their labor from November 5th to 11th. The roofing for these structures was crafted using zinc provided by the government.
A comprehensive toolkit, including benches, saws, nails, wires, and reinforcing steel (saria), was utilized by the youth union group to ensure efficient and quality construction of the houses. In addition, the 23 families, previously residing in tents provided by the organization within a local school, have now transitioned to these newly constructed homes.
This impactful initiative not only addresses the immediate housing needs of earthquake victims but also reflects the collaborative and proactive approach of the youth in making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by natural disasters.
