Dhangadhi: A significant stride towards community welfare was achieved as 12 Muktakamaiya families in Ghodaghodi, Kailali, were granted secure accommodation. The handover ceremony took place in Ghodaghodi Municipality Ward No. 3, specifically in Srishti Nagar Mukta Kamaiya Basti of the district.
On Tuesday, during a dedicated program, Khadak Bahadur Rawat, the head of Ghodaghodi town, personally presented the keys to the newly constructed safe housing units to these deserving families. The recipients, belonging to marginalized groups, expressed gratitude for this meaningful intervention.
The safe housing project, located in Srishti Nagar Free Kamaiya settlement, comprises 12 residences, each equipped with two concrete rooms and private toilets. The initiative, costing a total of 42 lakhs, was spearheaded by the Ghodaghodi Municipality's safe housing project in collaboration with Havitat/National Dalit Network Nepal, with an expenditure of 24 lakh rupees.
