Jajarkot Experiences Another 5.8 Magnitude Earthquake
Dhangadhi: The region of Jajarkot was once again rattled by seismic activity as a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck the Ramidanda area at precisely 4:31 PM on Monday. The Earthquake Measurement Center in Surkhet confirmed the occurrence of this earthquake, which follows closely on the heels of a 4.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred at 1:22 PM on the preceding Sunday. This recent seismic event, with its magnitude of 5.8, sent tremors across western Nepal, including the city of Dhangadhi.
Notably, this latest earthquake arrives on the heels of a 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck on the night of November 3rd. Since that significant event, the region has experienced a total of eight earthquakes measuring above magnitude four. The seismic activity continues to raise concerns and vigilance in the affected areas as local authorities and residents remain alert to further developments.
