Snake Bite Incident in Baitadi Leaves One Injured

Baitadi: A man in Baitadi sustained injuries today as a result of a snake bite.

The victim, identified as 42-year-old Shankar Pokharel from Melauli Municipality-6, Pokhari in the district, fell prey to a snake's bite while he was engaged in harvesting chillies in a field near his residence. Police Inspector Yogesh Khatri, the spokesperson for the District Police Office in Baitadi, confirmed the incident.

According to Police Inspector Khatri, the snake bit Mr. Pokharel on his left leg. In the wake of the snakebite, he was promptly transported to Dadeldhura Hospital to receive necessary medical treatment. This incident follows closely on the heels of another snakebite incident just a day earlier when a woman from Dasharathchand Municipality-2, Dehimanda, was similarly bitten by a snake.
