'Sudurpaschim Sports Award' will be held on 30th of June

Dhangadhi: The 'SPA Sudurpaschim Sports Award 2079' has been rescheduled to take place on June 30th instead of the previously announced date of June 23rd.

The Nepal Sports Journalist Forum, the organizing body, cited the need for additional technical preparations as the reason for the one-week delay. The award ceremony will be held at Om Palace in Dhangadhi. The fourth edition of the 'SPA Sudurpaschim Sports Award 2079' aims to recognize and honor outstanding players and coaches who have achieved remarkable feats in national and international sports throughout the year 2079 BS. Awards will be presented across eight different categories, including Best Male and Female Player, Best Coach, Young Player of the Year, Special Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Far West Icon Female, and Far West Icon Male.

The Nepal Sports Journalist Manch Kailali, the organizer, revealed that the winners of the Best Male and Female Players will receive a cash prize of Rs. 35,000 each, while the Best Coach will be awarded Rs. 30,000. The recipients of the Young Player of the Year, Special Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award will each receive a cash prize of Rs. 25,000. Additionally, the winners of the Sudurpaschim Icon Female and Male categories will be presented with trophies, medals, certificates, and a cash prize of Rs. 20,000.
