Authorities Apprehend Two Individuals and Seize Contraband Goods in Customs Evasion Operation

Dhangadhi: In a recent operation targeting customs evasion, law enforcement agencies have successfully seized illicit goods from multiple locations in Dhangadhi.

During the early hours of Sunday, enforcement officials recovered ladies' suits valued at approximately NPR 25,000 from Rajpur Chowk in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-13. In a separate operation, sugar with an estimated worth of NPR 6,500 was confiscated from Thapaghat in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-18, as reported by Ela Police Office Bahulia. Furthermore, in the town of Kanchabhoj, Dodhara-Chandni Municipality-7, the police intercepted and seized 140 kg of unauthorized boiler chicken.

As a result of their extensive efforts, authorities have apprehended an 18-year-old individual named Ganesh Thapa from Dodhara-Chandni Municipality-7. The arrest was made by the Sudurpaschim Province Police Office in Dhangadhi, alongside the Ela Police Office in Dodhara-Chandni. Moreover, two motorcycles were also confiscated during the operation.

This successful operation serves as a testament to the collaborative efforts of the law enforcement agencies in combating customs evasion and upholding the integrity of trade regulations. The seized goods will undergo further legal procedures, and the arrested individuals will face appropriate charges in accordance with the law.
