Kailari Rural Municipality Grants 5-Day Summer Vacation to Schools
Kailali: Kailari Rural Municipality has made the decision to provide a 5-day summer vacation to schools operating within its jurisdiction.
In an official notice issued on Sunday, the rural municipality announced that community and institutional schools will be granted holidays from June 12 to June 15 (Jestha 29 to Asar 1). The notice cited concerns regarding the recent surge in extreme heat, emphasizing the potential impact on the health and well-being of both students and teachers. Consequently, the decision to allocate these additional days off has been made, accommodating them within the existing winter or spring break periods.
The rural municipality is currently conducting measles and rubella vaccination campaigns in schools. As a result, it has been requested that teaching activities be suspended during this period to avoid any disruptions to the ongoing vaccination program.
This proactive step taken by Kailari Rural Municipality aims to prioritize the safety and welfare of students and staff, considering the adverse effects of the prevailing high temperatures. By providing these summer holidays, the municipality hopes to alleviate any potential health risks associated with extreme heat and contribute to an optimal learning environment for all.
