Fire Engulfs Two Shops in Kanchanpur, Promptly Contained by Authorities

Dhangadhi: A fire incident occurred in Kanchanpur, resulting in the destruction of two shops. The first shop, located opposite the Malpot Office in Ward No. 4 of Bhimdatta Municipality, was engulfed in flames.

Preliminary investigations conducted by the police indicate that the fire originated from a short circuit at the land service center belonging to Ganesh Rawal in Maholpaya, Ward No. 2 of Bhimdatta Municipality. The service center incurred significant losses, with all its merchandise consumed by the fire. The estimated damage amounts to NPR 281,700, as reported by the police.

Additionally, a fire broke out at Rekha Photo Studio, owned by Bhagwati Rawal Thapa in Sukasal, Ward No. 10 of Bhimdatta Municipality. The blaze resulted in the destruction of computer printers, scanners, and cameras housed within the studio. The exact extent of the damages has yet to be disclosed.

The swift response from the Ward Police Office in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, in collaboration with local authorities and the fire brigade, enabled them to effectively bring the fire under control, preventing further escalation of the situation.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident to ascertain the precise cause of the fire and evaluate the overall impact on the affected businesses.
