Dhangadhi: Deepak Raj Khair, a former candidate from the Nepali Congress in Kailali Constituency No. 5  during the 2079 BS elections, has absconded with his wife and four children. Khair, a resident of Baiyabehdi in Dhangadhi sub-district-2, ran away with Ganga Chhetri, a married woman from Dailekh, and the two fled to Bangalore, India.

Janaki Khair, the legal wife of Deepak Khair, has filed a case of polygamy against her husband in the Kailali District Court. She has complained that her husband neglected her and their four children after taking another woman as his wife. Prior to this incident, Deepak Khair, who worked as a computer operator in the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly, had fabricated an identity card claiming to be an official of the Provincial Assembly.

It has been discovered that he deceived several young women by presenting this fake identity card. Presently in India, he has been creating and circulating explicit videos, causing distress to his relatives. A case has already been registered against Deepak Khair at the District Police Office. Furthermore, it has been revealed that he used to exploit women and girls by falsely claiming to be an officer of the Far West Province Assembly.

Deepak Khair also sent explicit videos to his female relatives. Ganga Chhetri, a resident of Dailekh, abandoned her two children and eloped with Deepak Khair, as confirmed by Khair himself.
