Woman Arrested for Smuggling Illegal Goods in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: Law enforcement authorities in Dhangadhi have apprehended a woman for attempting to evade customs regulations by smuggling illegal goods.

On Thursday, near the traffic intersection of Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-3, a woman was arrested in possession of contraband items. The police detained Suman Bhat, a 40-year-old resident of Amargadhi Municipality-2 in Dadeldhura, currently residing in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-3. The seized items included a kurti with an estimated value of Rs. 24,000.

Furthermore, customs evasion goods were also discovered in Rajpur, Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-13 in Kailali district. The seized items consisted of sweets, panipuri, coconuts, powdered milk, and various other goods valued at approximately Rs. 20,000. A police team dispatched from Kailaligaon police station uncovered these items, which were found abandoned and unattended.
