Cow Shed Fire in Kanchanpur: Property Damaged, Occupant Injured

Kanchanpur: A fire broke out in a cow shed at Kanchanpur. This incident unfolded on Monday, when a concrete cow shed belonging to Ramesh Mishra, located in Vaijnath tol within Bhimdatta Municipality-11 Bhujela of Bihan district, became engulfed in flames. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire originated from a short circuit in the electric wiring system.

Authorities have reported that approximately 4/5 quintal of straw housed within the shed succumbed to the fire, resulting in an estimated loss of one lakh. During the incident, 65-year-old Janaki Mishra suffered severe burns to her face and hair. She has since been admitted to a medical facility in Gaddachowki, where she is receiving necessary treatment.

Prompt response from the police, local residents, and the fire department of Bhimdatta Municipality successfully contained the fire, preventing further damage and potential harm.
