Two Women Apprehended with Smuggled Goods, Held in Police Custody in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Two women have been arrested in Kanchanpur for their involvement in smuggling activities, as they were found in possession of customs evasion goods.

On Wednesday, a police team dispatched from Gaddachowki, Diuso Ela Police Office, successfully apprehended two women with smuggled goods. The individuals were identified as 45-year-old Kalawati Jagri and 37-year-old Sita Dhami, both residents of Bhimdatta Municipality-7. The arrests took place in Bhimdatta Municipality-10, where the suspects were found in possession of customs evasion items, including chillies, coconuts, and clothing.

The Kanchanpur police have transferred the arrested individuals and the confiscated goods to the Customs Office Gaddachowki for further necessary legal actions.
