Sudurpaschimchal Academy is the main sponsor of Sudurpaschim Sports Awards

Dhangadhi: The '4th Sudurpaschim Sports Award 2079' is the main sponsor of the Sudurpaschim Zone Academy. With Sudurpaschimanchal Academy (SPA) in Dhangadhi as the main sponsor, the name of the award will be SPA Sudurpaschim Sports Award. An agreement has been signed between Pradeep Pathak, President of Nepal Sports Journalist Forum Kailali and Suvash Shahi, Managing Director of Sudurpaschim Regional Academy, to sponsor the '4th Sudurpaschim Sports Award 2079'.

Speaking after the sponsorship, SPEA Managing Director Shahi said that he was happy to be associated with the award and said that he would continue to be associated with the award in the coming year as well. The college has been leading in the field of sports, having organized the SPA Cup cricket tournament with the highest amount of money in the country. The annual SPA Women's Mayor's Cup is also being organized.

Sudurpaschimanchal Academy was also the main sponsor of the third edition of the awards. At present, the process of construction of international ground in Fapla has been progressing. It is led by Shahi, managing director of SPA. Apart from that, Dhangadhi FC became the runner-up of the first edition of Nepal's first franchise football league, Nepal Super League.

SPA has also been organizing Far West Level Women's Mayor's Cup Volleyball every year. Apart from that, players are studying in SPA on scholarship. There are only 8 international cricket players. Similarly, national and international players of football, taekwondo, volleyball, basketball are also studying in SPA.

In the year 2079 BS, awards were given in 8 different categories to successful players and coaches in the national and international fields. Awards will be presented in the categories of Best Player Male and Female, Best Coach, Young Player of the Year, Special Award, LifeTime Achievement Award, Far West Icon Female and Male.

According to organizer Nepal Sports Journalist Forum Manch Kailali, the winner of the best player male and female categories will be awarded 35/35 thousand, the best coach 30 thousand, the winner of the Young Player of the Year, Special Award and Lifetime Achievement Award will be awarded 25/25 thousand in cash. Similarly, the winners of Sudurpaschim Icon women and men categories will be awarded trophies, medals and certificates along with cash of 20,000. The fourth edition of the Sudurpaschim Sports Awards is being organized in Dhangadhi on 23rd June.
