Wheat Crop Ravaged by Hailstorm in Bajura, Farmers Express Concern
Bajura: A devastating hailstorm that occurred on Wednesday has left a trail of destruction, decimating the maturing wheat crop in various regions of Bajura.
Farmers now find themselves grappling with anxiety as the hailstorm ruthlessly obliterated the ripe wheat crop, depriving them of the anticipated harvest. The Agricultural Knowledge Center in Bajura reports that wheat fields in Budhiganga, Badimalika Gaumul, and Khaptad Chededah Rural Municipality have suffered substantial damage due to the hailstorm.
Min Prasad Jaishi, the information officer at the Agricultural Knowledge Center, Bajura, revealed that the hailstorm also inflicted significant harm to wheat and annual potato crops planted in the aforementioned rural municipalities. In light of the dire situation, affected farmers have been duly notified to collaborate with the agricultural development branch and the ward office to facilitate data collection.
Jaishi further emphasized that a data collection format has been dispatched to all agriculture branches via email, urging those impacted by the disaster to promptly gather the required information and forward it to the agricultural knowledge center.
