Silver items stolen in theft at famous Ugratara temple in Far West Nepal
Dadeldhura: The renowned Ugratara temple in Dadeldhura, located in the Far West region, has fallen victim to theft. The District Police Office of Dadeldhura reported that the theft occurred at 1:30 am last night. According to Superintendent Manohar Prasad Bhatt, head of the police office, silver garlands, silver crowns, and other valuable items were stolen from the temple.
A police team, led by DSP Bhatta, has arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the theft. Tej Bahadur Saki, Chairman of the Ugratara Area Development Committee, has confirmed that the stolen items include silver puja objects. While CCTV cameras have been installed in the temple, they were not fully operational at the time of the theft, according to the police.
