Woman Missing in Bajhang District Following Avalanche While Collecting Yarsagumba

Bajhang: A woman has gone missing in Bajhang district after being hit by an avalanche while collecting Yarsagumba, a prized medicinal herb. 33-year-old Jhalladevi Bohra, a resident of Surma Rural Municipality-1 Deodi in the district, was reported missing after fleeing the avalanche which occurred on Monday night in the forest of Parthi Himal.

Local police have launched a search operation to locate Jhalladevi and are working to gather more information about the incident. The dangerous work of collecting Yarsagumba in the mountainous terrain of Nepal is known to carry risks, including the threat of avalanches.
