Two Arrested in Kanchanpur with Drugs and Ammunition, Police Launch Investigation
Kanchanpur: Two individuals have been apprehended in Kanchanpur, a district in western Nepal, after being found in possession of illicit substances and ammunition. The suspects, identified as 29-year-old Prakash Chand from Sundarpur, Bedkot Municipality-9 and 27-year-old Kiran Chaudhary from Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-7 Belly, were taken into custody by law enforcement officials on the evening of Monday.
Police sources confirm that during the arrest, Prakash Chand was found to be carrying approximately 1.37 grams of drugs, as well as one round of ammunition. Furthermore, a police team dispatched from the Suda station discovered drugs and bullets in Prakash's room. Similarly, Kiran Chaudhary was discovered to be in possession of roughly 390 milligrams of illicit substances.
The arrests come as part of a larger effort by local authorities to combat illegal drug activity and weapons possession in the area. Further investigation into the matter is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as the case progresses.
