Male and Female Suspects Apprehended for Connection to Murder of Young Man in Baitadi

Baitadi: In the district of Baitadi, two individuals, one male and one female, have been apprehended in connection with the murder of 37-year-old Bashudev Joshi from Kalagaun Dogdakedar rural municipality-8. District Police Office Baitadi Head, Prem Shahi, disclosed that the suspects in question are 24-year-old Mahendra Bishta, also known as Mandire of Dogdakedar Rural Municipality-8 Toli, and 28-year-old Dhanmati Bhandari, who has a criminal history.

The female suspect was detained on Sunday while the male suspect was taken into custody at his residence today. Bista was caught after authorities sealed off his dwelling from the exterior. The deceased, Joshi, was discovered on Saturday evening with evident marks of strangulation caused by a sharp weapon. Pushparaj Joshi, the victim's sibling, lodged a complaint against Bista and Bhandari for their involvement in the murder.

The victim's remains were examined at Baitadi District Hospital before being handed over to family members, who conducted the final rites today. Police authorities have stated that a comprehensive inquiry into the matter is currently ongoing.
