Dhangadhi: Dadeldhura Hospital, located in the far western hilly district of Nepal, has been contracted to remain a faculty of the university. The concerned ministries and the university have reached an agreement that the government will open a religious campus in Dadeldhura, and the hospital will continue as a faculty of the university.

During his visit to Kanchanpur on Sunday, Prime Minister Prachanda stated that he is committed to taking the Far West region to a new stage of development.

Speaking at the third convocation ceremony of Sudurpaschim University in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of education in society's transformation. He emphasized that university education should be creative, suitable for the age, and produce scientific and technical manpower that can compete in the world's competitive educational market.

In his speech, Prime Minister Dahal also reminded attendees that the Council of Ministers had recently decided to operate a medical university in the Far West. He further emphasized that university education should not only be formal and theoretical but also practical, useful for life, and helpful for the transformation of society.
