Doti: The Purvichouki rural municipality in Doti has been placed under lockdown due to concerns raised by the main opposition party, CPN UML Rural Municipality Committee, and Yuva Sangh Nepal. The groups have jointly raised a series of 14-point questions regarding the municipality's activities.

In a press release issued by the president of Youth Council, Rahul Bohara, it was stated that the rural municipality office has been locked down as a result of the opaque and biased manner in which the law is being mocked and arbitrary decisions are being made, leading to the destruction of the village.

The concerns raised include the absence of the chief administrative officer and accountant of the village for a year, non-payment of salaries to employees for an extended period, failure to provide social security allowances and implement various schemes, a shortage of basic medicines at the health post, and extended advertising of contract teachers and employment assistants. The inability to address these issues has led to the raising of the questions by the groups.
