Bungal Municipality office locked by Nepal Communist Party
Dhangadhi: Bungal Municipality office in Bajhang has been locked. The municipality has been locked due to the absence of a chief administrative officer. The Nepal Communist Party has locked down the municipal services for a month because there is no chief administrative officer.
Education officer Devraj Joshi had resigned saying that he could not perform the duties of the chief administrative officer. After Joshi's resignation, there has been a problem in the daily administration of the municipality. Joshi resigned last October. The city executive has decided to appoint Dhruvraj Joshi, who is working in the administration branch, as the chief administrative officer in the vacant post.
Mayor Jai Bahadur Dhami said that there is a problem in the service delivery of the municipality because there is no chief administrative officer. He said that due to the lack of administrative officers, there is a problem with the payment of funds including development plans. He said that there are problems in daily work including decisions made by the municipality and the bidding process. The federal ministry has not given consent to Dhruvraj Joshi, which was decided by the city executive. It is alleged that the municipality has been turned into a worker recruitment center.
