Patients carried to Health Post in cot due to paucity of stretchers in Darchula
Darchula: A woman from Nwalpani, Malikarjun Rural Municipality-2 of Darchula district, was taken to the health post after suffering from labor pain.
The woman was in labor on Thursday night. But since there is no stretcher in the village to carry patients, they were carried to the hospital on a cot made of rope. Local Prakash Singh Dhami complained that there were no stretchers in the village and he had to carry her on a cot.
Similarly, the local office said that due to the lack of pitch roads in the village, there is a problem in taking the patients to the health post.
There are about 70 families living in Nwalapani of the district. Locals complain that there is no stretcher in the settlement. When the villagers are sick, they have to carry them to the hospital on a cot made of rope.
On the one hand, there is no road facility in the village and there is also a shortage of electricity and water. Dhami complains that due to the various problems existing in the village, patients die prematurely.
