The border bridge over Mahakali river in Darchula was closed again
Dhangadhi: The international border bridge over Mahakali river connecting Nepal-India at Darchula has been closed again. According to Inspector Rajesh Shahi, Spokesperson of District Police Office, Darchula, the Indian side has closed the border bridge since this morning due to the issue of double stone pelting that happened on Sunday.
He said that Indian businessmen and citizens have closed the border bridge together. Nepali citizens protested on Sunday and closed the bridge saying that India is building an embankment on the Mahakali river in a one-way manner. Although the bridge which was closed yesterday was opened, the Indian side closed it today. It is said that the District Administration Office is making the necessary coordination to open the bridge.
