Two arrested for trespassing Bhatta’s house and threatening his family

Dhangadhi: Two people who threatened to kill Lekhraj Bhatta, former minister, Central Secretary of CPN-UML, and in-charge of UML Sudurpaschim, have been arrested.

Sher Bahadur Lama and Dipendra Bk of the place were arrested on the charge of threatening Bhatta by breaking into his house in Attaria, Godawari municipality early on Monday morning. According to Gyan Bahadur Bista in charge of Malakheti area police office, they are ex-combatants.

Bhatta said that when he was not at home, an unknown group threatened his family members by reaching his private residence in Attaria. According to him, more than half a dozen young people entered his house. They entered the house and asked where is the (former) minister? Bhatt said that they harassed his family members at home.

Lekhraj is also a candidate for member of the House of Representatives from Kailali Region No. 4 from CPN-UML. Here he has taken the lead in the counting of votes so far. He is being followed by Bir Bahadur Balayer of Nepali Congress.
