Vote counting in Kailali no.5 is yet to begin
Dhangadhi: Slogans were raised in front of the office of the Chief Electoral Officer demanding the counting of votes in Kailali area number 5. CPN-UML workers and supporters of independent candidates raised slogans saying that although it was agreed to count the votes from 1 pm in the all-party meeting, the counting has not begun yet.
They also raised slogans against Aryal saying that Chief Electoral Officer Om Prasad Aryal had conspired in not counting the votes as agreed. The Chief Electoral Officer appealed to commence the counting by 3 pm citing that he is suffering from health complications. However, the counting has not begun even at quarter to six.
District Election Office Chief Prem Prasad Bhatt has said that the counting of votes has been delayed due to the health problem of the Chief Election Officer. Aryal is now resting at the government residence in Dhangadhi.
