Eight people arrested for anti-election activities in Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: In Kanchanpur, the police have detained 8 people including the district in-charge of CPN (Majority). According to District Police Office Kanchanpur, 8 persons, including in-charge Harish Dayal, were detained from outside the polling station of Bhrikuti Secondary School located in Bhimdatta Municipality-4.

The police said that they were arrested while distributing anti-election leaflets and pamphlets. The police have not disclosed the name of anyone other than in-charge Dayal. The Nepal Communist Party led by CPN (Bahumat) and Netra Vikram Chand (Biplava) have been calling for an election boycott.
