Auto-rickshaw accident in Baitadi

Dhangadhi: Seven people were injured in an auto accident in Baitadi on Monday. The accident took place at Basali, Mahakali highway. It was on route from Gokuleswar towards Dehimandu of the district.

District Police Office Baitadi has informed that seven people including the driver Dhansingh Thalal were injured. The auto-rickshaw was carrying people who were coming to see the Jatra to Ninglashaini Bhagwati Temple.

According to the police, the speeding auto-rickshaw fell into a pothole on the road and went out of control about 400 meters down the road. 50-year-old Birsingh Khatri and his wife 45-year-old Ammara Khatri, 13-year-old Sangita Thalal, 25-year-old Nirmala Thalal, 16-year-old Dhanpati Thalal and 9-year-old Janak Thalal of the same place were injured in the accident.

They are being treated at District Hospital Baitadi.
