Action taken after abortion medicine started being available in Baitadi

Baitadi: After the secret of openly selling even sensitive drugs like abortion medication came to light, action has been taken against the operators by confiscating such drugs.

District Administration Office Baitadi has taken action by sealing the medical practitioners who are selling drugs against the rules and operating polyclinics and labs without taking permission and admitting patients and treating them voluntarily.

Khagendra Bharti, Information Officer of District Administration Office, Baitadi, informed that a joint monitoring team including district administration office and health personnel took action against four medical facilities, one lab and one clinic operating in Dasharathchand Municipality-1, 2 and 4 of Baitadi headquarters.

He said that Ninglasaini Pharmacy in Dasharatchand Municipality-2, Dehimadoun, Prakash Medical and Jaydurge Medical Hall in Dasharatchand Municipality-1, Musachor were found to be operating labs and polyclinics without permission, he said.
