Far-Western Provincial Assembly meeting postponed yet again

Dhangadhi: The Far-Western Provincial Assembly meeting has been postponed again today. Speaker Arjun Bahadur Thapa had announced the adjournment of the assembly this morning saying that the quorum was not reached.

The meeting of the state assembly was called for 3 pm today but it could not be held. Speaker Thapa has adjourned the meeting till 11 am tomorrow. Parties other than the Maoist center are in favor of not allowing the budget brought by the government to be passed in the status quo.

The Congress has already stated that the budget cannot be passed in the status quo. Opposition parties UML, JSP and LSP are also against the budget.
