Accham murder case: 7 arrested, including Mayor Ambika Chalaune

Dhangadhi: Seven people, including Mayor Ambika Chalaune, have been arrested in the case of finding Binod Shahi dead in Panchadewal Binayak Municipality-4 of Achham. Seven people, including the newly elected mayor of Panchadewal Binayak Municipality, have been released on the charge of murdering Binod Shahi.

Earlier, only five people were arrested by the police, but two more people were arrested yesterday (Saturday), said Mohan Kumar Archay, Deputy Inspector General of Police at the Far Western Provincial Police Office. According to him, newly elected mayor of Panchadewal Binayak Municipality Ambika Chalaune and Netra Shahi were arrested yesterday.

Similarly, the District Police Office, Achham said that the investigation into the incident has reached the final stage. In a few days, the police will complete the investigation and submit the investigation report to the court. Binod was found dead on a hill near the village on June 6 at 10 am. The family had lodged a FIR against 13 people, including the mayor, alleging that he had been killed.
