The Kandra River in Kailali has crossed the alert level
Dhangadhi: Heavy rain fell for three hours in Kailali, Kanchanpur and surrounding areas in the morning. The Department of Water and Meteorology has urged people to be vigilant as small rivers including Kandra, Mohana and Khutiya may be flooded due to rains.
As the water level of Kandra River in Kailali has crossed the alert level and is rising, special vigilance has been asked to be exercised till 10 am in the riparian areas, lowlands and flooding areas. Currently, monsoon winds are affecting the entire country. It is raining in different parts of the far west today. It has been raining with thunder in Dhangadhi since this morning.
According to the Weather Forecast Division, heavy rain is also expected in a few places in the far western region. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder / lightning in many parts of the country, according to a bulletin issued by the department on Wednesday.
