How much budget allocated to which local level from the far western government? (With list)

Dhangadhi: The Far-Western Provincial Government has reduced the grant to the local level. The state government, which has brought in a budget by increasing the size, has reduced the grant to the local level through intergovernmental transfer.

Minister for Economic Affairs Prakash Rawal had presented the budget of Rs. 36.74 Arba for the coming fiscal year 2079/080 in the state assembly on June 15. A budget of Rs 1.36 Arba has been allocated for 88 local levels of the state through intergovernmental transfers.

The state government had allocated Rs. 1.72 Arba for the current fiscal year. The state government has been giving only equalization, special and supplementary grants to the local level. Although the law states that the state government will provide a conditional grant to the local level, the Far Western government has not yet allocated a budget for the grant.

More grants to municipalities than sub-metropolitan areas

The Far-Western Provincial Government has decided to give the highest grant to Ghodaghodi Municipality of Kailali in the coming fiscal year. A budget of Rs. 3.67 crore has been allocated to Ghodaghodi Municipality through intergovernmental transfer.

For Dhangadhi, the only sub-metropolis of the state, Rs. 44 lakhs less than Ghodaghodi has been allocated. The state government will provide Rs. 3.23 crore grants to Dhangadhi sub-metropolis in the coming fiscal year.

The state government has allocated the lowest grant for the village municipality of Doti. The village municipality will get only Rs. 67.61 lakhs budget from the state government.
