Armed Police Force conductied simulations based on monsoon disasters in the Far west

Dhangadhi: The Armed Police Force (APF) has conducted simulations based on monsoon and disaster events in various places in the far west under the Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan. The exercise has been conducted with the objective of minimizing the possible damage through effective response to the waterborne disaster rescue work from June 11 to June 15.

In order to make the search and rescue work of the affected people efficient, accurate and effective by making maximum use of local resources during the disaster, artificial exercises based on disaster incidents have been conducted in different parts of the state.

Disaster management trained team including Lamital in Godavari Municipality-2 of Kailali, Godavari 4 Hat Kholi, Mohana River in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis-9 Ramghat, Shuklaphanta Municipality-5 Forest Committee of Kanchanpur, Bhimdatta Municipality-6 Aithpur, Dipayal Silgadhi-5 and 3 of Doti and Mahakali of Darchula. According to the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 7 Vaidyanath Bahini Headquarters Kailali, the incident took place at Nijyang Khola in Municipality-1.

Similarly, Kailash Khola in Mangalsen Municipality-4 of Achham, Tundikhel in Gadhi of Dasharathchanda Municipality-4 of Baitadi, Khalanga in Amargadhi Municipality-7 of Dadeldhura, Bauli Khola in Bajura's Badimalika Municipality-8 and Bahuli Gad in Bajhang's Jaya Prithvi Municipality-10 have been singled out. According to the headquarters, a joint artificial incident exercise has been conducted.

The exercise program was also attended by Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Chief of Staff of the Armed Police Force, Nepal No. 7 Vaidyanath Bahini Headquarters, Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Nepal Red Cross Society.
