More than 1.5 lakh cash and heroin were recovered from the room of a youth arrested in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: Additional heroin has been recovered from the room of a youth from Kanchanpur who was arrested in Dhangadhi along with drugs. Additional drugs were recovered from the rooms of Dab Bahadur Tamang, 42, and Anju Sarki Tamang, 28, of Purnabas Municipality-3 of the district, police said.

According to the District Police Office, Kailali, 150 grams of heroin, 164,400 rupees in cash, 1 digital scale, 1 pair of scissors and thread used for making pudiya were recovered from their room. Earlier, police had arrested Kancha Bahadur Tamang, 40, of Purnabas-1 and Hem Khatri, 25, of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis-2 along with two others.

Police had arrested Dab Bahadur Tamang from near Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolis-1, Kancho Tamang from Trinagar Customs in Dhangadhi-2 and Anju Sarki from Dhangadhi-3 traffic intersection on Tuesday. Police have registered a case against them on June 7 and are investigating.
