Achham murder case: Relatives agreed to retrieve body for postmortem
Achham: It has been agreed to retrieve the body of Binod Shahi of Panchadewal Binayak Municipality-4 of Achham for postmortem. The relatives of the deceased and the administration have agreed to examine the body, investigate the incident and take legal action as required, said Far-Western Police Chief Deputy Inspector General Mohan Kumar Archay.
The body of Shahi, who went missing after a clash between Nepali Congress and CPN-UML cadres at Panchadewal on May 31 evening, was found by locals on Saturday morning. His body was found in a ravine of Kuchi in Ward No. 4 of Panchadewal Binayak Municipality on the Mid-Hills Highway.
Relatives of the deceased have alleged that the murder was planned by the Nepali Congress. During the election, Shahi was active in the UML's campaign. Relatives have alleged that he was killed for the same reason.
