Body of woman found burnt in Darchula

Darchula: A burnt body of a woman has been found in Darchula. According to the District Police Office, Darchula, the body of 45-year-old Aniva Khadayat of Shailyashikhar Municipality-1 has been found.

The body of the woman was found burnt in a haystack near the house. Police have arrested locals Birendra Khadayat and Tula Khadayat on suspicion of being involved in the incident. Darchula Police Inspector Lokendra Karki said that the two were taken under custody for questioning. A team led by Darchula Deputy Superintendent of Police Prateek Bista has left for the site to investigate the incident.

According to Bharat Bahadur Khadayat, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 1 of Shailyashikhar, the husband of the single woman died seven years ago.
