Deuba says: Far West way behind in development

Dhangadhi: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the Far West is lagging behind in development. This was stated by Prime Minister Deuba at the 11th General Assembly of the Far Western Concerns Forum.

He noted that the Far West was still lagging behind in development. He said, "Poverty has not diminished. Our youth still go to Bombay, to Madras. They say they'll go to Lahore. That's the way it is." He also expressed concern over the economic situation in the Far West. "The economic situation in the far west has not improved yet," he said.

Pointing out the possibility of development in the far west, Prime Minister Deuba said, "Mahakali is not there, Seti is there. If we can develop it, the Far West will definitely be rich." Expressing interest and concern over the development of the motherland, Prime Minister Deuba thanked the Far Western Concern Forum Nepal for working for 16 years.
