Landlord who waived rent during lockdown to receive tax exemption

Dhangadhi: The Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan has decided to give exemption in house restoration tax to the landlords who gave house rent exemption during lockdown.

During the time of the lockdown, some of the tenants were given a discount. Mayor Nirpa Bahadur Odd said that Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan had also granted 50% discount to the tenants.

Lekhnath Ojha, chief of the revenue branch of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis, said that the landlord who gave a house rent exemption during the lockdown will be given a two-month house tax exemption.

"For this, there has to be proof that the house rent has been waived, if found to be false, action will be taken. " said Ojha, chief of the revenue branch.
