Two arrested for beating a man to death in Darchula

Darchula: Police have arrested two people on the charges of beating a 37-year-old Lal Bahadur Chand to death. The arrested are Shamsher Dhanuk age 20, of Malikarjun Rural Municipality Ward No. 8, Taskot and Ajab Chand age 35, of the same place, said Surendra Prasad Joshi, Information Officer at the District Police Office. On August 21, they had beaten Lal Bahadur and seriously injured him. The victim's family had lodged a complaint at the Police Post, Shankarpur on 26 August alleging that they assaulted him in a state of intoxication.

The injured Chand was referred to Dhangadhi on 26 August after he could not be treated at the District Hospital. According to the District Police Office, Chand died while undergoing treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi. The post-mortem of the deceased has been done in Dhangadhi. The deceased was a resident of Malikarjun Rural Municipality, Ward No. 8 to death
