Mother and son die after consuming poison in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: A 24-year-old mother from Ganesh Basti of Puranwas Municipality-1 of the district consumed poisoned  along with her 8-mont-old son. The eight-month-old baby died while undergoing treatment on Friday morning. The 24-year-old mother also died on Friday night, according to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Amar Bahadur Thapa said that the incident was being investigated. "Investigations are underway into whether he himself took the poison or was fed by someone," he said.
