129 people test positive for Coronavirus in Far-West including 30 from Kailali

Dhangadhi: 129 people tested positive for Coronavirus in Far-West on Tuesday. Tests conducted at the laboratory of Seti Provincial Hospital, Dadeldhura Hospital and Doti District Hospital confirmed the infection in 129 people. 46 people in tested positive in Doti, 35 in Achham, 30 in Kailali, 8 in Kanchanpur, 8 in Bajhang and 2 in Dadeldhura. In the last 24 hours, 571 people have been examined at the laboratory of Seti Provincial Hospital and 34 of them have been confirmed infected.

According to Dilip Kumar Shrestha, information officer of the hospital, the infection has been confirmed in 12 people of Chaurpati Rural Municipality of Achham, five people of Sanphebagar and one person of Mangalsai. Information Officer Shrestha said that four people of Ward No. 1, two of Ward No. 5, one of Ward No. 2, five of Lamkichuha, two of Janaki Rural  Municipality and 1 person of Godawari Municipality tested positive.

Coronavirus was also detected in one of the village council members of Doti. Tests conducted at the Dadeldhura laboratory on Tuesday confirmed corona infection in 50 people. In the last 24 hours, 666 people have been tested for corona and 50 have been infected. According to Ishwori Prasad Bhushal, laboratory in-charge of the hospital, the infection has been confirmed in 17 people of Bannigadhi Jayagarh Rural Municipality of Achham, seven people of Ghodaghodi ,Municipality of Kailali, 4-4 people of Bardagori and Janaki village.

Similarly, 8 people from Shuklaphanta Municipality of Kanchanpur, 6 from Chhavispathibhera of Bajhang and 2 from Durgathali have been confirmed infected, said Bhushal. Coronavirus has also been confirmed in 2 persons of Amargadhi municipality of Dadeldhura.
