An Indian national arrested in Kailali on the charges of custom fraud
An Indian national has been arrested in Kailali with mobile displays worth 16lakhs brought to Kailali without paying custom duty. A team of Area Police Office, Tikapur arrested the Indian national from Tikapur Municipality Ward No. 1 on Thursday morning.
According to Pratik Bista, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kailali, Chand Ali of Tikuniya, India, who had been staying as a tenant at a local Nara Bahadur Kadayat’s house for years, was arrested with a mobile phone displays worth Rs 16lakhs. Chand, who was arrested along with the goods brought through customs fraud, has been kept in the custody of the Area Police Office. Preparations are underway to hand over the case to the customs office for necessary action on Friday.
