4838 infected, 3291 discharged in Far-West
Dhangadhi: Another 15 Coronavirus patients recovered and were discharged on Tuesday from isolation wards made at various hospitals and locally in Far-West. Narendra Karki, chief of the Health Division at the State's Social Development Ministry, told a regular press briefing on Tuesday that 15 more people had been discharged.
At the same time, the number of people returning home after recovering has reached 3291 in the region. According to the Ministry of Social Development, 558 people from Doti, 556 from Achham, 554 from Kailali, 505 from Kanchanpur, 300 from Baitadi, and 267 from Dadeldhura have been discharged so far.
A total of 431 people have been discharged from Bajura, 107 from Bajhang, and 13 from Darchula. Currently, 55 people are being treated at various hospitals.
According to the Health Directorate, 25 people are being treated at Mahakali Hospital, 16 at Tikapur Hospital, 10 at District Hospital of Achham, two each at Seti Provincial Hospital and Doti District Hospital.
Presently, the number of active cases is 1538. There have been 9 fatalities in the province. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of infected people in the Far-West has reached 4,838.
