Man arrested for drinking and driving and causing an accident in Dadeldhura

Dhangadhi: Dadeldhura police have arrested a man for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and causing an accident.

A Scorpio (Ba 18 Cha 9637) heading to Baitadi from Dadeldhura near Ranidhara of Amgadhi Municipality-5 fell about 200 meters off the road on Thursday.

Police have arrested Bhuwan Bista, 26, of Patan Municipality-6 of Baitadi for the accident. According to police, he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Dadhiram Neupane said that a case has been registered against Bista for violating public peace.

Himal Bista, age 26, of Patan Municipality-6 who was a passenger on the car was injured in the accident.
