Dhangadhi: Monsoon rain has flooded  Dhangadhi. The market area of ​​Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City has been submerged. Dozens of houses have been submerged in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City's Ward No. 3, Bishalnagar.

According to a local Tekraj Joshi, some families have been displaced due to flooding in dozens of houses. He said that they have to face the problem of drowning every year due to lack of drainage system. Those displaced are living in the homes of neighbors and relatives.

The problem of drowning has been increasing in Dhangadhi after the encroachment on the canal with the involvement of government agencies. Most of the rivers flowing through Dhangadhi have private structures over them.

The city development committee has also sold the land along the river and the sub-municipality has also given approval for construction on those land.
