Forecast for heavy rains in the Far-West

Dhangadhi: According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, it is raining in most parts of the Far-West due to the influence of monsoon winds across the country. According to the department, light to moderate rain is expected all across the country.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in most parts of the country this afternoon. Heavy rain is expected in few places in the Far-Western districts.

The department has urged the people to take necessary precaution as the water level in the river will increase, soil erosion in hilly areas will lead to landslides, road and air transport will be affected due to flooding in places where proper darnage sytem are not kept.
