NCP Provincial Committee Member Resigns, Accuses Sudurpaschim CM of Promoting Commission Culture
Dhangadhi: Govinda Bohara, a provincial committee member of the ruling NCP, has announced his resignation from the committee, citing dissatisfaction with the Sudurpaschim Provincial Government’s budget. Bohara declared that he would no longer remain a member of the NCP provincial committee, accusing Chief Minister Khagaraj Bhatta of fostering a culture of commission-seeking.
Bohara, a former ward chairperson of Parashuram Municipality-8 in Dadeldhura, announced his resignation through a Facebook post on Monday.
In his post, Bohara directly criticized Chief Minister Bhatta, writing, “Khagaraj Bhatta, as long as such commission-seekers remain in the party, we cannot be members of the NCP! Resigning from the provincial committee membership!”
In a separate post, Bohara again targeted the Chief Minister and expressed dissatisfaction with the budget allocation.
Alleging corruption involving commissions, Bohara suggested that the budget encourages improper practices rather than addressing the actual needs of the people.
Dissatisfaction has begun to emerge among leaders and cadres of the ruling party following the provincial government’s presentation of the budget for the current fiscal year 2083/84 on Sunday.
