Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City Provides Desk-Bench Sets to Two Community Schools

Dhangadhi: Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City has handed over 38 sets of desks and benches to improve the physical and educational environment of community schools.

The Sub-Metropolitan City provided 38 sets of desks and benches each to Behadababa Secondary School in Ward No. 16 and Chandrodaya Secondary School in Ward No. 18.

Deputy Mayor Kandakala Rana handed over the furniture during a program held at Behadababa Secondary School. The event was attended by Mayor Gopal Hamal, Deputy Mayor Rana, Sub-Metropolitan City officials, as well as Ward No. 16 Chairperson Ramlal Chaudhary and Ward No. 18 Chairperson Bhuvan Rijal.

Speaking at the event, Ward No. 18 Chairperson Bhuvan Rijal thanked the Sub-Metropolitan City on behalf of the ward and encouraged the students to be diligent in their studies.

After handing over the furniture, Deputy Mayor Rana expressed her belief that the new desks and benches would facilitate the students' learning process. She urged them to remain dedicated to their studies and stay away from negative activities.

Similarly, Ward No. 16 Chairperson Ramlal Chaudhary expressed gratitude for the support the Sub-Metropolitan City has been providing in the sectors of education, health, and agriculture.

The desks and benches were provided to facilitate learning in the newly constructed eight-room building at Chandrodaya Secondary School. Pushkar Raj Sharma of the school noted that the Sub-Metropolitan City has also been providing educational materials and other forms of support to the school.

According to Sharma, the investment made by the Sub-Metropolitan City in education has also shifted perceptions regarding community schools. He stated that there has been an improvement in the school's academic quality as well as in the Grade 8 results.

Various training and scholarship programs are being conducted at the school. Sharma noted that the regular provision of necessary teaching-learning materials is making it easier to deliver quality education at the community school.
