Leopard Rescued Alive After Being Trapped in Darchula

Darchula: A leopard trapped in Amkur, Lekam Rural Municipality-5, Darchula, has been rescued alive. A team including experts from Shuklaphanta National Park in Kanchanpur rescued the leopard at around midnight on Monday.

According to Subash Kunwar, Chief of the Division Forest Office, Darchula, the leopard had fallen into a trap set by locals for wild boar. Locals informed the Division Forest Office after finding the leopard trapped on Sunday night.

An expert team was called from Kanchanpur to rescue the leopard. The Division Forest Office, Darchula, stated that the leopard was safely rescued with the assistance of the expert team.

The rescued leopard is said to be in normal condition and will be managed in a safe place after completing the necessary procedures.
