Bhajani Municipality supports ‘Sudurpaschim Gaijatra Sirjana-2’ to promote culture and social awareness
Dhangadhi: Bhajani Municipality has supported ‘Sudurpaschim Gaijatra Sirjana-2’, an event organized with the objective of promoting social awareness through satire and humor while preserving the original art, culture, language and traditions of the Far West.
The program, organized by Baijnath Sanchar Pvt. Ltd., is scheduled to be held on Bhadra 17 at STS Cinema Hall in Dhangadhi.
According to the organizers, this year’s event has been made more detailed, systematic and attractive based on the enthusiastic support and positive response received from the audience during the first edition. Coordinator Saraswati Khadka Bhatta said that the program will be organized under the main slogan “Preserving culture, creating awareness through satire and building a healthy society” and will feature cultural performances, humor and contemporary issues reflecting the original identity of the Far West.
The organizers stated that the event will not be limited to entertainment alone. Issues such as corruption, injustice, social distortions, inconsistencies, gender violence, child rights, youth migration, social responsibility and contemporary national concerns will be presented through satire to create public awareness.
Financial coordinator of Gaijatra, Shubhesh Pathak, informed that the program will include special performances by renowned artists from the Far West and popular national-level comedians.
Deuda, folk songs, folk dances and original cultural tableaus of the Far West will add attraction to the program. The organizers said various original performances will be included with the aim of taking local art and culture to the national stage.
The main objective of the program is to attract the younger generation toward their own language, art and culture and encourage their preservation.
Organized with the support of Bhajani Municipality, the event is expected to become a common campaign for promoting the original culture of the Far West, showcasing artists’ talents and delivering a positive message to society.
The organizers have urged all culture, art and comedy enthusiasts to participate in the program on Bhadra 17 and contribute to making it successful. The organizing team has also requested additional support for the event.
